RETURN POLICY
RETURN POLICY is a series of original store receipts from big box retailers, where the items purchased are rung up in a particular order to create an acronym on the receipt.
The images in the RETURN POLICY series are large-scale reproductions of the original store receipts. The original receipts are scanned at such a high-resolution and printed on high quality matte paper, giving the prints in RETURN POLICY series the illusion of a hyper-real textured material.
RETURN POLICY is color coded.
The Yellow series asks: What am I shopping for?
The Blue series looks at the materialism of love-nesting and asks: For whom am I shopping?
The Red series asks: What do I desire?

Artist Statement:
The things I make are about relationships, consumer roles, and market identity. I write and produce performance art and games that can be molded, emotionalized, emphasized, and replicated. Through installations that I call "performative retail environments", my work takes the form of big-box store detritus, store receipts, studio portraiture, and retail advertising.
